House sales are almost completely dependent on the market. If interest rates are low and the economy is good, it is easier to sell a home. If interest rates are high and the economy is bad, then it is difficult to sell a house. However, even when the market is poor, people still need to live somewhere. Real estate sales have increased in recent years due to the interest rates. When the interest rates have all increased it means that the real estate market will be decreasing. Despite this, it is possible to sell a house. but it takes a little savy and luck. You will have to be patient. Just because the real estate market is not that great now, it could be tomorrow, or next month. It is hard to predict. Normally changes can be slow and usually are. Many people try to sell their home themselves instead of finding a real estate agent. Sometimes this works, but not always. The advantage of using an agent is that they are experienced at real estate and the agent will list the house in multiple outlets including online, in local newspapers, and even on a multiple listing service. Most areas also have real estate flyers that you can pick up for free. If you try to sell your home yourself, you will not get the benefit of all the advertising. Remember when trying to sell your home, have patience. It may take a while to sell your home. Home sales can be frustrating. What ever you do, don’t purchase a new home until you sell the first one. It can be financially draining if you have two mortgages. Some people lose their homes that way.
